The body of a newborn baby girl has been found outside a house in Cumbria.
The body, which had been hidden outside a house used by seasonal hotel workers in Blencathra Street, Keswick, was discovered on Sunday morning.
Police believe the body may have in the house for some time before being moved outside.
The baby was carried to full term, and post-mortem examination and forensic tests show it was born between two and six weeks ago.
Detective Chief Inspector Jim Messenger said the baby's death was being treated as suspicious.
Police are trying to trace the dead infant's mother, and say they are following several lines of inquiry.
They are appealing for help from the public.
