Charges sought over Milan air crash
The public prosecutor in the Italian city of Milan has asked for 11 people to face charges over last year's air disaster at the city's Linate airport, in which 118 people died.

The former chief executive of the Italian air traffic control authority and the director of Linate airport are among those the prosecutor wants charged.

The crash - Italy's worst aviation disaster - happened when a Scandinavian Airlines System passenger plane hit a private jet as it was attempting to take off in thick fog.

All the passengers on both planes were killed.
