Man arrested outside PM's house
The Prime Minister's constituency home is in Trimdon
Armed police arrested a hooded man who approached Prime Minister Tony Blair's constituency home.
Police in County Durham said the 19-year-old was arrested shortly before 0400 BST on Wednesday. He was apprehended as he walked towards Mr Blair's family home in Trimdon Colliery, County Durham. The teenager, who police said was from Sussex, was taken to a police station for questioning. Peugeot car He was later released without charge. A Durham Police spokesman said: "Shortly before 0400 BST a hooded man was spotted walking towards the front gate of Myrobella House in Trimdon Colliery. "He was challenged by two uniformed officers and when he refused to give personal details he was arrested." The spokesman said a Peugeot car, which it is believed the man used to get to the former pit village, was found in the car park of a local pub. Police later said the teenager had been re-arrested by detectives from Humberside and taken for questioning on an unrelated matter.
