A UN spokesman said the three men would meet on 6 September in Paris, after a deadline to reach a political solution to the island's division expired in June.
Greek Cypriot leader Glafcos Clerides and Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash
have been meeting two or three
times a week since January to discuss the decades-old conflict.

It will be Mr Annan's second meeting with the two leaders this year, after his trip to the island in May.
When they meet, it will be to "take stock and see if a course can be charted for negotiations ahead", the spokesman said.
Mr Denktash, backed by Turkey, wants a confederation of two states,
while the Greek Cypriots and the UN wants a federation of Greek and
Turkish Cypriot areas.
The Mediterranean island has been divided since the invasion of Turkish troops in 1974.
The UN only recognises the southern, Greek-run administration as the country's legal government.
The need for a solution is becoming more urgent as European Union entry for Cyprus, scheduled for 2004, becomes closer, correspondents say.
