Prosecutors given rail crash report
Mr Fletcher was pronounced dead at the scene
Prosecutors are set to decide whether anyone should face charges over a rail crash near Lincoln in which a van driver died.
John Fletcher, aged 47, was killed when a train hit his van after it left the road at Nocton and crashed through a brick wall in February. A police report into the accident has now been passed on to the Crown Prosecution Service, which will decide whether criminal charges should be brought.
A preliminary inquest in March heard Mr Fletcher survived the 20ft fall on to the railway line and phoned 999 for help. Police confirmed he was talking to an emergency operator when his van was hit by a Birmingham to Sleaford train. Mr Fletcher, a father of three from Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, died of multiple injuries at the scene after being cut from the wreckage. Fourteen of the train's 41 passengers were treated in hospital for minor injuries.
