Michael McKevitt: Accused of directing terrorism
The trial of alleged dissident republican Michael McKevitt is expected to go ahead next January, the Special Criminal Court in Dublin has heard.

Mr McKevitt, 51, who is one of five people being sued by relatives of those killed in the Omagh bombing, is charged with directing terrorism.

The trial is expected to take up to six weeks.

The court decided that legal argument about witnesses would be heard on 9 October.

The court also ruled that if the defence wants to call witnesses, they must notify the state, and possibly other jurisdictions, by the second week in September.
