The Government has rejected claims that it ordered the wrong sort of smallpox vaccine as a protection against bio-terrorism.

We consult a leading British expert, John Oxford, Professor of Virology at Queen Mary School of Medicine in London and ask which strain is the most effective vaccine?

The Liberal Democrats, who have accused ministers of favouring a company with strong Labour links, say ministers could clear up the confusion by publishing the advice on which they based their decision.
