Brazil captures Sicilian 'Mafia' fugitive
Police in Brazil say they have arrested an Italian fugitive, Vicenzo Francesco Consoli, who is high on the Interpol most-wanted list.

Mr Consoli, who is alleged to have links to the Sicilian Mafia, was sentenced to 30 years' imprisonment in Italy 20 years ago for crimes including murder, kidnapping and gun-running.

He escaped to Brazil, where police said he had been found living with his family in the interior of Sao Paulo state.

They said he had assumed a false name and had lived in the area for a number of years.
