Angus Gilmore was found on fire outside the block of flats where he lived in St Pancras, central London, on Saturday, a Scotland Yard spokesman said. Neighbours threw blankets and water over him to quench the fire. He was taken to a specialist burns unit at an undisclosed hospital but they were unable to save him. A woman in her 30s was arrested at the scene and has also been taken to hospital where she remains under police guard. "Her condition is not life-threatening," said the spokesman. "The incident is being treated as murder. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the case. We are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen anything." |
