CAN FOLLOW TAJIK FIGHTING The authorities in Kyrgyzstan have sent troops to reinforce the border with Tajikistan to prevent retreating Tajik rebels from entering the country.

Security officials told the Russian Interfax news agency that a two hundred kilometre stretch of the border near the scene of the fighting had been secured.
