The German car-maker, Opel, is recalling almost sixty-thousand of its Astra models in order to check their steering columns.

Opel, which is the German unit of General Motors, said some clients had complained that their steering wheels were making a noise and not turning smoothly.

Owners are being asked to take their cars to dealers for a free check-up.
