The American special envoy, Stephen Sestankovich, who is visiting Uzbekistan, has said that convertability of the national currency is the surest way to attract foreign investment.

The Russian Interfax news agency reported that Mr Sestanovich told a press conference in the capital, Tashkent, that the Uzbek authorities and the Central Bank have accepted the US view as a way to boost foreign investment and economic growth in Uzbekistan.
