Bowie, who was the first pop star to set himself up as an Internet Service Provider, is offering the opportunity via his recently-launched Website. The music and chorus for the song entitled What's Really Happening have already been penned by Bowie, leaving would-be songwriters to submit three verses to complete the track.
The former Thin White Duke will himself select the winning entry from a shortlist chosen by the public. As well as the kudos of writing with Bowie, the winner will also receive a $15,000 (£9,300) publishing contract with international publisher Bug Music and a trip to New York to actually be there when the track is recorded.
