Thursday, November 5, 1998 Published at 13:14 GMT World: South Asia Over 40 killed in Indian bus crash Indian police say over forty people were killed when an overcrowded bus plunged off a bridge into a river near Cuttack city, in the eastern Indian state of Orissa. They said the driver was trying to overtake another vehicle on the bridge when the accident occurred. Thirty six bodies have been recovered from the river.
