The Hindi poet and novelist, Vaidyanath Mishra Yatri, known by his pen-name, Nagarjun, has died at his native Khajasarai village in Darbangha district in the north Indian state of Bihar, after long illness.

The eighty-eight year-old writer had won many awards for his works, and was praised for playing an active role in the freedom movement.
