Do you fear for your pension?
MPs are due to discuss the crisis in funded pensions this Tuesday.

The debate will take place after the publication of the government's response to the Work and Pensions select committee's report on the Pension Credit.

This follows the revelation that contributions to UK pensions may have been significantly overestimated because of a statistical error.

Work and Pensions Secretary Andrew Smith said that he had launched a complete review of the figures.

He added that the government was going to consider "radical and concerted action" to protect final salary pension schemes which are being cut by firms.

What can be done to protect final salary pensions? Do we need a radical reform of the pension system in the UK? Should people be encouraged or compelled to save more for their retirement?
