Police took action on Wednesday after the star allegedly damaged a photographer's camera. The photographer called police alleging that Mr Gallagher broke the camera outside the Pembroke Castle pub at about 5pm. The rock star was taken to Kentish Town police station where he was questioned by police and later released on bail. A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to the camera." Brushes with law Spokesman Johnny Hopkins, of Creation Records, said: "Liam is fine. He is not injured. I don't really want to comment until I have all the details." The Mancunian singer has brushed with the law on other occasions. In November 1996, he was given a police caution after he was caught in possession of cocaine. He was also cautioned by the police for criminal damage in July 1997 after he allegedly grabbed a cyclist's shirt and dragged him alongside the Mercedes car in which he was a passenger. Scotland Yard said Mr Gallagher, who was arrested outside the pub, had been bailed to return to Kentish Town police station at a date to be set. The incident comes a fortnight after he was reunited with his wife Patsy Kensit after he allegedly threw her out of their home in north London more than a month ago. |
