Police believe the teenager died on Friday night
Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man whose was body was found in a ditch in Berkshire.

Two 16-year-old males along with a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old female were taken into custody in the south Oxfordshire area on Monday night.

The body of the 18-year-old was found in Hurst, near Reading, just after 1200 BST on Sunday by a man walking his dog.

A post-mortem examination showed he died of multiple stab wounds.

Water-filled ditch

The four people arrested were being held at a police station in Reading where they were due to be questioned by detectives on Tuesday.

Police say they now know the identity of the murdered teenager but have not officially named him.

They confirmed he came from south Oxfordshire and have revealed he was last seen alive at 1130 BST on Thursday.

The teenager's body was found in a waterlogged ditch at the side of Broadcommon Road.

Police said they think he died late on Friday evening or in the early hours of Saturday morning.

They want to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area overnight on Friday.
