Man jailed for 'biting' baby girl
A man who bit his girlfriend's baby daughter and stood by and watched as she tried to walk on two broken legs has been jailed for 30 months.

The 30-year-old County Antrim man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to assault and neglect.

He said he had bitten the girl twice in what he called "games".

However, doctors said the bites were "aggressive".

When the girl was x-rayed, it was found three of her limbs had been broken at one time or another.

The court heard the injuries, which were not treated, would have caused the child considerable pain and distress.
