Double deaths funeral held
The house in St Georges Drive
Mrs Jensen's body was found at her home
The funeral has been held of a separated couple who died within five miles of each other.

Fifty-year-old Birger Jensen is thought to have killed his estranged wife before driving his Audi car into a parked lorry on the A55 at Penmaenmawr.

Mr Jensen was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash

The Danish-born security guard, who was known locally as John, left a note which is being examined by police.

The body of his estranged wife Elizabeth Eleanor Jensen was discovered last Monday after officers called to inform her about last week's incident.

The 44-year-old was found dead in her bed with multiple head injuries at her rented home in Deganwy, near Llandudno.

She shared the house in St George's Drive with her 15-year-old daughter and eight-year-old son.

Inquest

It is believed the youngsters were in the house at the time but did not witness the incident.

Mr Jensen who suffered multiple injuries was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The couple had been separated for several months but were believed to be on speaking terms.

An inquest into the deaths has been opened and adjourned.

The funeral took place at Colwyn Bay Crematorium on Tuesday afternoon.
