Agony aunt turns to writing rock
Denise Robertson
TV agony aunt Denise Robertson has switched from Richard and Judy to penning a rock musical.

But the County Durham novelist who achieved fame on ITV's This Morning, says she's too afraid to attend the opening night.

Fine Fine Fine premiers at the Customs House in South Shields, South Tyneside in August.

But Ms Robertson says she 'hasn't got the bottle' to attend in case it flops.

The musical is about three women living on benefits in north-east England and their adventures with three local men.

But Ms Robertson says she is unlikely to attend the musical's opening night in case it fails with audiences.

She said: " I don't know if I have the bottle to attend.

"I'll be sitting at home with the mobile phone and wait for one of the boys to ring me and say it's ok or it's down the tubes."

The musical is losely based on a letter Ms Robertson received in 1977 from a single mother of three.

Rock numbers

She said: "The musical is about what I hope happened to her."

During her 14 years with ITV'S This Morning, Ms Robertson has dealt with more than 90,000 letters and 500,000 telephone calls.

The idea for a musical came from hearing her son Mark's band.

Along with his friends, Dean and Peter Robertson, - no relation - they penned the songs, including rock numbers, ballads and comic songs.
