Mexican parliament disrupted

The Mexican Chamber of Deputies lower house of parliament had to suspend its session on Tuesday evening after uproar between deputies and local journalists.

Two months ago, the journalists had their right to free access to all parts of the parliamentary chamber withdrawn.

Last night's row took place when journalists who thought this restriction had been lifted first jeered speaking parliamentarians and then invaded the debating chamber.

Deputies from the National Action Party PAN left the chamber, and the parliamentary chairman closed the session because there was no longer a quorum.
