Criticism greets HK leader's second term
Hong Kong's Chief Executive Tung Chee-Hwa
The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong government, Tung Chee-hwa, has been sworn in for a second five-year term in office.

In Hong Kong the chief executive Tung Chee-Hwa has been sworn in for a second five year term in office. It's part of festivities to mark the fifth anniversary of the former colony's' return to Chinese sovereignty. China's President Jiang Zemin attended, but there are worries that changes Mr Tung is making to Hong Kong's government are eroding checks and balances that were inherited from British rule

Official ceremonies have been held in Hong Kong to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the former colony's return to Chinese sovereignty. China's president, Jiang Zemin, was the guest of honour, as the territory's chief executive was sworn in for another five years in office. In a surprising move, President Jiang called on the government to do a better job. From Hong Kong our correspondent, Damian Grammaticas, reports.) .
