Man killed in road accident
A man has been killed in a road accident in County Londonderry.

The accident happened at about 0245 BST on the Moneybrannon Road near Aughadowey.

It is understood the car the man was driving left the road and struck a tree.

The victim, whose name has not been released by the police, died at the scene.

It is understood he was from County Antrim.

The police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the accident to get in contact with them in Coleraine
