Jonny and Sophie face Brother eviction
Sophie Pritchard and Jonny Regan
The public will decide who is to be evicted
Big Brother contestants Jonny Regan and Sophie Pritchard will find out on Friday which of them is to be evicted from Channel 4's reality TV show.

The pair were nominated by their fellow housemates on Monday and the loser will be chosen by telephone, mobile text and interactive TV votes from the public.

Alex Sibley

Twelve housemates were originally selected to live in the Big Brother house under the constant gaze of television and web cameras.

Four housemates have so far been evicted, while a further two contestants, Sandy Cumming and Sunita Sharma, left of their own volition and were replaced.

Overwhelming favourite

The remaining eight housemates are competing for a first prize of £70,000.

Big Brothers odds to win
Alex 4-9
Jonny 4-1
Kate 8-1
Adele 10-1
PJ 12-1
Jade 33-1
Tim 33-1
Sophie 80-1
Jonny is facing his second eviction vote in the last three weeks, but Sophie, who was brought in to replace Sunita is the overwhelming favourite to leave.

A Ladbrokes spokesman said: "We have never had a housemate such a favourite for eviction as Sophie.

"The polls and the views of the other housemates show she is very likely to go. It will be a brave punter who backs Sophie."

'Experience'

But Sophie has told fellow housemate Kate Lawler that she does not want to be evicted.

"I'm not ready to go at all. I feel I've got so much more to experience," she said.

She said that going head-to-head with Jonny would be difficult.

"Because Jonny's been up before and didn't go, it's tough. I'm half preparing myself to stay and half preparing myself to go."

Despite being panned by critics, the third series of Big Brother on Channel 4 is proving to be a ratings coup with average audience figures of 4.6 million viewers, up 15% on last year's series.

Model Alex Sibley remains the favourite to win but odds on Kate have been slashed in recent days.

The Ladbrokes spokesman said: "In the last two weeks punters have placed more money on Kate than anyone else to win it.

"She has become more popular. She seems to be trying to get on with everyone, like being nice to Sophie this week while others are bitching about her."

Consequently her odds have gone from 14-1 to win, to 8-1.
