It also provides an overview of organisations involved in disaster relief and how donations can be made to them.

Relief Web provides recent news and information from the countries devastated by the floods.

The American charity Mercy Corps also highlights the damage caused by Mitch and the efforts under way to deliver food and supplies to the storm's victims.

The International Service Agencies is an umbrella organisation representing over 50 humanitarian aid agencies.

Its site contains information about its members working in Central America and involved in the relief operation.
