Rebel violence in Indian states

Police in the north-eastern Indian state of Tripura say tribal rebels have killed four Bengalis in Chandidas Thakur Para near the capital, Agartala.

A political party representing Bengalis Amara Bangali has called for a road blockade to protest against the attack.

In a separate incident, officials in another northeastern state, Assam, say suspected Bodo tribal rebels have looted rifles and ammunition from a police outpost in Masalpur near Assam's border with Bhutan.
