Swedes give $10m to Mozambique

The King and Queen of Sweden have announced a ten million dollar donation to Mozambique, at the end of talks with President Chissano.

The funds are intended to help pay off Mozambique's foreign debt repayments.

Mozambique is one of the largest recipients of Swedish aid -- the friendly relationship dating back to the 1960s when Sweden supported the FRELIMO liberation movement in its struggle against Portuguese rule.

The king and queen are accompanied by a large group of businessmen.
