Mother appeals for girl's return
Stacey Dixon and Ian Scott
Ms Dixon was last seen getting into Mr Scott's car
The mother of a teenage girl who ran off with a man almost twice her age has appealed for her daughter's return.

Stacey Dixon, 15 and from Worcestershire, disappeared on 18 June at the same time as family friend 28-year-old Ian "Jimmy" Scott.

On Thursday Stacey's mother Paula Poulton said not knowing where her daughter had gone was "too much to bear".

In a statement released by police in Kidderminster, Ms Poulton urged Stacey to get in touch with her family.

We want you home with us, as it is not the same without you

Speaking from her home in Kidderminster, Ms Poulton said: "We all love you Stacey and miss you so much.

"Not knowing where you are is too much to bear.

"You are not in any trouble with anyone, so please, please, get in touch.

"We want you home with us, as it is not the same without you. We all love you."

Alarm raised

Stacey vanished after telling her parents she was going on a geography field trip and would be back at her school in time for lunch.

The alarm was raised after her father, Paul Dixon, 35, went to pick her up from Harry Cheshire School and could not find her.

Police said Stacey was seen getting into Mr Scott's Ford Escort, which was also the last time he was seen.

Caravan holidays

Decorator Mr Scott became friends with Stacey's family when he moved in next door to live with his parents after his divorce.

Police are investigating Mr Scott's links with Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, as he is known to have taken caravan holidays there in the past.

A police spokesman urged either Stacey or Mr Scott to go to any police station where arrangements could be made for them to talk about the incident.
