Talks in Moscow on a possible American food aid package for Russia this winter have gone into a second day.
There's been no official statement, but some American officials have indicated that the talks centre on US loans for the Russians to buy American food on favourable terms.
Last month, Russia asked the European Union for help with winter supplies of food and medicine.
Russian food stocks have been affected by a bad harvest and the collapse of the rouble, which forced a big cutback in imports.
