Wimbledon: Thursday's front row seat

Gaby Roslin presents Breakfast's Wimbledon 2002. Today, she talked to the writer Ben Elton and the celebrity hairdresser Nicky Clarke.

On today's menu:

Celebrity interview: Ben Elton

Ben Elton: a big fan of Wimbledon

  • Ben Elton, the comedian, is a keen fan of Wimbledon.

Gaby found out out who Ben rates this year and who gets the thumbs down.

She also asked him about his new musical, which he describes as Queen meets Blackadder.

People who make it happen: Wimbledon Hair

  • Nicky Clarke: the hairdresser to the stars.

The worlds of football and tennis collide when it comes to the new phenomenon of the follically ambitious man.

Apparently tennis players let their hair go to pot before Wimbledon, so they can get it cut just before the tournament starts.

    Prizes

  • Another chance to win those hot tickets to the men's semi- finals.

To get your ticket all you have to do is watch our 'Guess the Grunter' competition.

And if you know who it is call us on 08700 100 150 and the lines are open until midnight. Calls are charged at a national rate which shouldn't be more than a first class stamp.
