Women sought over fatal fall
The Tenerife coastline
Paul Finan fell to his death while on holiday in Tenerife
Police investigating the death of a man who fell from a hotel balcony in Tenerife are trying to trace two women who were in the hotel at the time.

Paul Finan from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, fell from the fourth floor window of the Laguna One apartment block on the island in May 2000.

Detectives were due to appeal for information about the incident on the BBC's Crimewatch programme on Wednesday.

Officers believe the women, in their 20's, spoke about Mr Finan's death during a telephone call to the UK shortly after he died.

Despite visiting the Canary Islands, South Yorkshire Police are no closer to finding out who was responsible.

The two women were seen at the apartments throughout the week of the incident and shortly before and after Mr Finan died.

They are described as white, in their mid 20's, 5ft 6ins tall and of slim build.

One of them had shoulder-length blonde hair, an English accent, and a chinese lettering or phrase tattoo on her lower back.

The other had long permed hair and wore a baseball cap with her hair in a ponytail through the back of it.

It is not clear where they are from.
