Monday, November 2, 1998 Published at 20:07 GMT World: Middle East Egyptian police shoot two fundamentalists Egyptian police say they have killed two suspected Muslim fundamentalists in a clash in the southeastern province of Minya. The shooting broke out when the security forces raided a suspected fundamentalist hideout in the Mallawi region. Police said two of their own number were wounded.
