Funeral of children killed in fire
Calum, Gage and Arnie Lumb died in a fire in Blackpool
Friends and family have paid tribute to three young brothers who died in a house fire.
Three small white coffins containing the bodies of eight-year-old Gage Lumb and his brothers Calum, four, and Arnie, five, were carried into St George's Church, Lupset, Wakefield, West Yorkshire for the funeral. The brothers died on 13 June when a fire swept through a house in the Boothroyden area of Blackpool, Lancashire. Neighbours managed to rescue three other children from the building who were treated in hospital along with the boys' parents Paula and Ernie. At the funeral on Tuesday, more than 100 people packed the church which is located in the area where the family used to live before they moved to Blackpool. There were no hymns during the half-hour-long private service but the music played included songs from John Denver and Tomorrow Never Comes by Ronan Keating as the congregation left the church. |
