Man's body chained to bicycle
Suffolk Police
Suffolk Police are treating the death as "unexplained"
Police have started an inquiry after a man's body was found chained to a bicycle off the Suffolk coast.

The man, who has not been named, is believed to have been between 30 and 50-years-old.

A police spokesman said a chain had been attached to his wrist and to the handlebars of a men's racing bicycle when the find was made at the weekend near Lowestoft.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out but has not revealed any injuries.

A fingerprint has provided a possible name for the man but police will not release details of his identity.

The police spokesman added that officers are treating the man's death as unexplained and are awaiting the results of toxicology tests.

The man was dressed in black and had scalding or scarring on one arm.
