The deal is clear: the Palestinian people choose new leaders, those leaders embrace democracy, market economics and snuff out terrorism. In return, the United States endorses the idea of a Palestinian state and Israel withdraws from the lands it occupied in 1967: George Bush, delivering his long expected speech on Middle East peace last night. He believes it can all be accomplished within three years. Mark Urban reported from Jerusalem, and Tom Carver was in Washington.

And as the Chief Executive of Burberry gets a £10 million pay check, is it time to curb top peoples' pay? A new report says that there is no such thing as an international market for some executives so why do they get paid so much?

And finally we had a film from the singer Mica Paris, whose brother was murdered last year. She asked why the gun has infiltrated the lives of so many young black men.
