Karnataka govt faces no confidence motion

Debate on a no-confidence motion against the ruling Janata Dal government in the south Indian State of Karanataka has begun in the state assembly.

The move comes as the Chief Minister, J.H.Patel, faces a revolt from his own party members.

Reports say the rebels have indicated they may stay away during the vote.
