Lorry driver kidnapped at gunpoint
Police tape
The man was bundled into an unmarked car
A lorry driver was kidnapped at gunpoint by robbers who escaped with his vehicle containing computer equipment valued at thousands of pounds.

The driver was captured after being flagged down by what he thought was an unmarked police car as he left the A44 to turn north on to the M5 near Worcester.

At least two men wearing yellow fluorescent jackets got out of the car and threatened him with a pistol.

They hooded him, bundled him into the car, and drove him around for about three hours.

The man was eventually dumped unhurt in Wiltshire.

His white Volvo articulated lorry and its contents were driven away by the robbers.

West Mercia Police are appealing for any information about the kidnap, which happened at about 2100 BST on Friday.
