The new German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder -- in London on his first foreign trip since taking office -- has said Germany would completely support UN resolutions on Iraq.
He was speaking after talks with the Prime Minister, Tony Blair, who said they were ready to take whatever steps necessary to ensure Iraqi compliance with the UN.
Mr Blair added that he was delighted to be working with Mr Schroeder, and they'd had excellent talks.
Both men -- who share similar left-of-centre political views -- have spoken of a new era of Anglo-German cooperation.
