Man held in murder inquiry
Police are continuing to question a man in connection with a murder inquiry in County Antrim.

The 49-year-old man's body was discovered in a grassy area at Hawthorn Way in Ballyclare on Sunday morning.

It is understood it followed an earlier confrontation in the Mossvale Park area of the town shortly before 0300 BST.

Police said he had suffered a number of injuries including stab wounds.

A knife was recovered at the scene of the killing.

Detective Chief Superintendent Philip Wright, who is leading the investigation, said he did not believe the killing was sectarian.

"We are currently conducting house to house inquiries in this area and the people have already given us a tremendous amount of assistance.

"We just ask that if anyone else has any information whatsoever, that they come forward and give it to the police.
