Two other soldiers on the vehicle were rescued. The accident happened on Saturday night north of Seoul, in a military-controlled area near the border with North Korea. It's not clear if the soldiers were taking part in military exercises at the time. South Korean and American forces began twelve-days of joint war games last week.
