Two sentenced for Bahrain offences

Two men have been sentenced to three years imprisonment in Kuwait for carrying out subversive activities against Bahrain.

The men, Abdullah Yunis Abdelsayed, an Iraqi, and Adel Jasem al-Haiki, a Bahraini, had previously been acquitted, but were found guilty by a court of appeal.

They were accused of distrubiting leaflets calling for the removal of Bahrain's ruling family.

Such activities are illegal in Kuwait.
