Many areas in western and northern Europe are still under water following the heavy flooding of the past few days.
In western parts of England and Wales the flood waters now appear to be falling slightly, although more heavy rain is forecast for the next few days and flood warnings remain on thirty-eight rivers.
In Holland almost one-thousand military personnel have been put on standby because of flooding and high river levels.
There are also reports of rising water levels on two of Germany's major rivers; the Mosel and the Rhine.
