Bomb explodes in Punjab

A bomb has exploded in the Pakistani city of Sialkot in the province of Punjab killing three people and injuring more than thirty others.

Police say the device went off in a densely populated area Naikapura.

There are reports that it was left close to a mosque.

Two people died at the scene of the attack; the third later in hospital.

It's the seventh bomb blast in Sialkot in less than two years.

The government's Bomb Disposal Squad says it has defused another thirteen bombs over the same period.

So far no one has admitted responsibility.
