    The State Opening of Parliament and the Queen's Speech will take place on Tuesday.

    On Wednesday, the UK Trade figures will reflect our export performance in an increasingly difficult world economy, and the extent to which domestic demand is still strong enough to attract imports into this country.

    Other indicators to note are the CBI's Industrial Trends Survey for the latest appraisal of manufacturing, and Nationwide's House Prices, which have recently been reflecting a slowdown of the housing market with falls in August and September.
