Bihar politicians detained on corruption charges

Eight politicians, including two former chief ministers, have been detained on corruption charges in the Indian state of Bihar.

The former chief ministers, Laloo Prasad Yadav and Jagnnath Mishra, and the other accused, face charges relating to the disappearance of millions of dollars in government funds during their time in office.

The ministers are being held in police custody, while the judge considers their bail applications.
