Smuggled drugs seized in Russia


Russian security officials say they've seized drugs worth nearly two million dollars from two Tajik lorries, on the road between the Urals city of Chelyabinsk and Moscow.

They said the seizures were carried out as a result of co-operation between Russian security services and those of other CIS countries, after a year of investigation.

The haul was said to have included heroin, raw opium and hashish.

Ten peeople have been arrested.
