'Just call me Melvyn'
Lord Bragg was formally introduced to the House on Thursday
Broadcaster and novelist Melvyn Bragg has been introduced to the Lords.
Lord Bragg took his seat in the upper chamber on Thursday.
He is best-known for presenting ITV's flagship arts programme The South Bank Show and BBC Radio 4's Start the Week programme, as well as donating more than £5,000 to the Labour party.

The prime minister created 18 new working Labour peers, including television boss Waheed Alli and Labour's outgoing general secretary Tom Sawyer.
The 58-year-old Lord Bragg has been head of arts at London Weekend Television since 1982, and was made a multi-millionaire by the LWT flotation.
He has welcomed his entry to the House of Lords but still wants people to call him Melvyn instead of referring to him by his new title.
As a Labour peer he is prepared to vote for the abolition of his hereditary colleagues as part of constitutional reform of the Lords.
