Arrests in case of former Welsh minister

Police in London have announced they've arrested three people in connection with Monday's robbery of the former British minister in charge of Welsh affairs , Ron Davies, who has resigned over the incident.

No details of those arrested have been given, but police said they'd recovered Mr Davies' car, which he'd reported stolen.

Mr Davies said he was robbed at knife point after meeting a stranger in a south London park.

The exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear, but he's insisted that sex or drugs played no part.

Meanwhile, there's growing pressure on Mr Davies, who's the candidate of the governing Labour Party to become First Minister of the future Welsh Assembly, to stand down as leader of the party in Wales.
