Nine killed violence in Nepal


The authorities in Nepal say that clashes over the past two days have left five Maoist rebels and three policemen dead.

The clashes occurred in central and western districts of the country.

Correspondent say the incidents are part of a new phase of a violent campaign by the rebels.
